Taiwan and cookies
Taiwan does not have a dedicated cookie law. The consent banner you see is this site’s own practice, not a requirement imposed by local statute, and rejecting it does not block your access to any article.
What we actually store
This site uses no analytics and no third-party trackers. The only item placed in your browser is the record of your consent choice, kept in local storage so your decision is remembered between visits.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|---|
hij_consent_v1 | Local storage | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected the consent banner | Until you clear browser data | heliosfabric.digital (first-party) |
No session cookies, no authentication cookies, no advertising cookies and no analytics cookies are set. Nothing is sent to any third party when you load a page.
Managing or removing it
Because the only stored item is a local-storage entry, you can remove it at any time from your browser’s site-data settings (under “Local storage” for heliosfabric.digital). Clearing it will show the consent banner again on your next visit. Choosing Reject on the banner leaves the entry in place recording your rejection; choosing Accept records acceptance. Neither choice changes how the articles load — the same pages are served either way.
Impact of disabling
There is no functional downside to rejecting or clearing the stored choice. The journal’s articles, the inquiry form, and the legal pages all work the same way. The only visible effect is that the consent banner may appear again.
No third-party content
No fonts, scripts, images, or media are loaded from third-party hosts at runtime. Fonts are self-hosted, JavaScript is bundled locally, and photographs are served from this site’s own assets. See the privacy page for how inquiry data is handled.
